The portable, lightweight Agilent CERJAC 156MTS SONET Maintenance Test Set combines digital transmission testing capabilities with SONET-specific tests to meet your SONET and T-carrier applications in the field. You can use the base unit for STS-1 testing with full receive/transmit functions and you can drop and insert DS3 payloads. OC-1, OC-3 and OC-12 interfaces, or DS3, DS1 and E1 ports, can be added as required. Intermediate and longreach optical interfaces support 1310 or 1550 nm wavelengths.
Features include section, line and path error injection at user-selectable rates and SONET overhead control and monitoring. You can use the Agilent CERJAC 156MTS during SONET installation to test channel rates from DS0 to OC-12 with full demultiplexing of tributary signals. ATM is available for OC-3c and DS3 rates. Also, you can verify network synchronization and automatic protection switching.
